Albert Einstein famously said: "The foolish faith in authority is the worst enemy of truth."
But, alas for poor Prof. Weinblatt, that's all he has to support his position.
And to make matters worse for him, a good many of the "historians" he would rely on are not accredited historians themselves. Gerald Reitlinger was an artist and art collector; Raoul Hilberg was a professor of "political science", Nora Levin was a research librarian when she wrote her book; Poliakov was the director of the World Center of Contemporary Jewish Documentation in Paris; Davidowicz, director of a chair in "Holocaust studies." All of these are Jewish... with a Jewish axe to grind. They presume to be like the Pope.... Infallible....

Since Weinblatt has no concrete evidence for his case he relies on the pontifications of the "approved" authorities....; and he and his ilk gets to decide who is "approved."
In effect he is attempting to transform history into a religion and make the "Holocaust" a matter of doctrine. What's next? a Holy Inquisition?

Edward L. Bernays, Jewish, and nephew of Sigmund Freud, 1891-1995 wrote in his book "Propaganda", p. 71 as follows:

Another relative of Sigmund Freud and Edward L. Bernays, Murray C. Bernays, was heavily involved with "war crimes" problems.... and key member of Jackson's London staff ...
