Ghoulish business. Stolen human organ trafficking.

EU prosecutor Jonathan Ratel told the court the organs had been illegally removed from victims and transplanted into wealthy recipients in the clinic, known as Medicus. Those who paid up to €90,000 (£76,400) for the black-market kidneys included patients from Canada, Germany, Poland and Israel, Ratel said.

The scale this ghoulish operation was conducted is almost beyond belief.

The clinic operated since at least 1990 six kilometers away from Pristina's airport. 

Canadian, German and Israeli patients received organs stolen from Turkish, Serbian, other East European victims.
