JAY LENO NEEDS NEW SCRIPT

JAY LENO NEEDS NEW SCRIPT

Catholic League president Bill Donohue is asking Catholics to provide Jay Leno with some new script. He explains why:

Last night, Jay Leno did what comes natural to him—he bashed Catholicism for the umpteenth time. His scriptwriters handed him a few lines about one miscreant priest, and he took the opportunity to hype the case further by lying about what happened. The priest was charged with ripping off his parish to pay for his online porn habit, but this wasn't good enough for Leno. He wanted to implicate the entire Catholic Church. So what did he do? He said "the Church transferred him to another parish that has free WiFi. Yeah, so that's nice." Leno lied about the transfer; he did so because his goal was to indict the Church.

In the event Leno wants to practice diversity, we have some new script:

·        In the news this week is the story of a woman being sentenced to death under Islamic law in Pakistan. Her crime? She is a Christian.
·        Last week, Oprah Winfrey was in the news for featuring a discussion with adults who were sexually abused by Episcoplaian priests in their youth.
·        This week it was reported that 17 Jews have been charged with stealing $42 million from Holocaust survivors; the money was financed by the German government.

Imagine how much fun Leno could have with script like this! He wouldn't even have to lie about any of it to get a good laugh.

Send your ideas to Leno's producer, Debbie Vickers: Debbie.vickers@nbc.com

An antisemite condemns people for being Jews, I am not an antisemite.--Michael Santomauro

Most of us are mentally trapped to think Jewish. Actually, it is safe to say that virtually every mainstream publication or or other type of media organ is "nothing more than a screen to present chosen views." The great battle over the last century has been a battle for the mind of the Western peoples, i.e., non-Jewish Euros. The chosen won it by acquiring control over essentially the complete mainstream news, information, education and entertainment media of every type, and using that control to infuse and disseminate their message, agenda and worldview, their way of thinking, or rather the way they want us to think. Since at least the 1960s this campaign has been effectively complete. Since then they have shaped and controlled the minds of all but a seeming few of us in varying degree with almost no opposition or competition from any alternative worldview. So now most of us are mentally trapped in the box the chosen have made for us, which we have lived in all our lives. Only a few have managed to avoid it or escape it, or to even sometimes see outside of it, and so actually "think outside of the (Jewish) box." --Michael Santomauro

Re: Deconstructing doubletalk in the "Holocaust denial" debate on campus

1.     Thomas Dalton is a professor of HUMANITIES, not HISTORY.  He is not credible on this topic.  Neither is the engineer Butz, or the bishop Williamson.  They all might hate Jews, but no professional historian will recognize their discrimination as factual.

2.     Freedom of speech is the hallmark of a liberal and progressive society.  I can think of only one topic in which a society should alter this view.  That topic is genocide.  Note, I did not say "the Holocaust."  I said genocide.  If we allow our progeny to believe that a genocide is in reality a hoax, then they will not learn from it.  They will not vicariously experience the abject terror, horror and brutality of genocide.  Having lost this ability to learn from genocide, our progeny will then be subject to the same mistakes that led to the genocide.

3.     Some European nations prohibit Holocaust denial for a very good reason.  Anti-Semitism in Europe has not disappeared.   In fact, it has been gaining strength over the past few decades.  The very same public sentiment that created the Shoah remains today just under the daily radar screen.  In other world, it can happen again and the most probable location for it is Europe.  European nations counter the rise of anti-Semitism with sound laws that discourage displaying Holocaust denial in public.  When the European public has learned to accept that Holocaust facts are indeed accurate, and when they have acquired tolerance towards Jews, there will no longer be a need for such laws.  However, the massive immigration of Muslims in Europe might postpone that time far into the future.

4.     All anti-Semites use the same false premise in blaming Jews.  They blame "the Jewish lobby" for every bad circumstance under the sun.  I guarantee that no "Jewish lobby" outside of Israel has the political strength to win a dog catcher job.  This is the same mendacious "Jewish menace" propaganda that Nazi leaders used to encourage gentiles to hate Jews in the 1930s.  It became a foundation for the Nuremberg Laws.  In essence, it is pure BS.  Jews represent a very tiny percentage of anyone's nation (except Israel).  At less than 1% of the US population, Jews influence no one.  Blaming "the Jewish lobby" is patently impossible and completely false.  Virtually no professional historians or sociologists agree with it.  The so-called "Jewish lobby" wields no significant political clout.  At 1% of the population, they control nothing.

5.     Thousands of thesis and doctoral research projects have all reached the same conclusion about Holocaust.  These facts cannot be wrong.  Wannsee Conference records reveal the plan for "The Final Solution of the Jewish Problem" in great detail, including architectural plans for massive death camps, gas chambers and cremation furnaces.  The SS was tasked with manning death camps and their Einsatzgruppen testified to shooting more than a million innocent Jewish men, women and children (see Babi Yar).  Nazi leaders admitted to murdering millions of innocent Jews (and many others).  Camp guards, employees and nearby citizens have all testified to the death camp veracity.  Survivors described it in detail.  Six million Jews did not simply disappear without a trace.  They did not all perish from typhus.  What's most interesting about this is that Nazi leaders had an out at the Nuremberg Trials.  They could have denied murdering millions of Jews.  Instead, they all admitted to the genocide of European Jews, but said that they were "just following orders."  Transcripts are readily available in English.

6.     I could care less if you or anyone wishes to "review" history.  By all means, knock yourself out!  But, even if the real figure for Jewish Holocaust victims turned out to be four million, or even three million (and virtually all professional historians peg the number at between 5.5 million and 6 million), it would still remain the most egregious genocide against members of one religion in history.  So, what could you possibly gain by "revising" history?  The very same lesson would remain.  Millions of innocent Jewish men, women and children would still have been murdered because of their faith.  Hell, even if the number was one million, it would still be a ghastly genocide against Jews.  Again, what would change if the numbers are not exactly accurate?  Jews were still evicted from their homes, schools & jobs, forced into ghettos, concentration camps and slave labor and the weak and small ones were immediately murdered.  You would need either a very low IQ or very significant bigotry to deny these facts.  Virtually all professional historians will stake their career on the veracity of these facts.  What could you hope to change?  Do you think that more people would become anti-Semites?  Is this a supercilious goal?  So, what's the point in trying to revise it?  What on earth do you hope to gain?  Some people will always hate Jews, so why waste your time trying to exacerbate this bigotry?

Dear Charles,

Every sentence you write is based on a false notion. If the Holocaust narrative is so accurate, why do 17 nations have Holocaust Denial Laws? pushed by the Jewish Lobby worldwide--Israel was the first nation to pass such laws in 1986.

Can I send you a copy of a book in exchange for yours? Debating the Holocaust: A New Look At Both Sides by Thomas Dalton. Which I can't even advertise virtually in any mainstream publication, with tens of thousands of dollars in my advertising budget, because of the power of the Jewish Lobby.

Virtually all professional historians agree that Holocaust facts are valid; so what are the credentials of those who disagree?  Why should we believe them?  Have they uncovered some profound new data to challenge the known fact that millions of innocent Jewish men, women and children were murdered because of their faith?  If so, why has no one produced such new data?  Instead, they simply cry out in the wilderness, "Historical facts about the Holocaust are not true!"  Is this the mind of an empirical researcher with tenure as professor of history at a major university?  Or, is this the cry of an anti-Semite who simply can't stand that Jews have obtained a measure of sympathy in the shadow of the Shoah, the greatest genocide against any religious group in history?

Anyone can shout in the Internet that the Holocaust is a hoax.  Proving such an impossible allegation is another story.  We await their "evidence."

Meanwhile, the only real question is why would anyone try to distort or deny that which thousands of thesis and dissertations have proven so elegantly?  Why would someone try to deny the words of Nazi leaders themselves, who admitted that they did indeed murder millions of innocent Jews, but that they were "just following orders" (see Nuremburg trial records).  The Wannsee Conference records prove that Nazi leaders planned the extermination of Europe's Jews.  Nazi leaders admitted to performing it.  Camp guards and workers corroborated it.  Survivors described it.  And now, suddenly and without any evidence, we are asked to disregard a mountain of evidence that convicted Nazi Germany of the world's greatest genocide.  Again, why should we believe the deniers?

RABBINICAL REIGN OF TERROR

RABBINICAL REIGN OF TERROR

The rabbis' statements have provoked a series of riots by local religious Jews, in which several homes have been attacked to chants of "Death to the Arabs." In one recent incident, three Palestinian students were beaten as shots were fired.

Rabbis provoke riots in Israel's "most racist" city
Jonathan Cook

The tranquility of Safed, a small city nestled high in the hills of the Upper Galilee close to the Lebanese border, is not usually disturbed except by the occasional pilgrimage by Madonna or other famous devotees of the Jewish mystical teachings of Kabbalah.

But in the past few weeks, Safed -- one of Judaism's four holy cities -- has been making headlines of a very different kind. Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Israeli daily Haaretz, last week declared it "the most racist city in the country."

The unflattering, and hotly contested, epithet follows an edict from Safed's senior rabbis ordering residents not to sell or rent homes to "non-Jews" -- a reference to the country's Palestinian citizens, who comprise a fifth of Israel's population.

At an emergency meeting, called last month to discuss the dangers of "assimilation" caused by Palestinian men dating Jewish women, the 18 rabbis warned that Safed was facing an "Arab takeover." Jewish residents were told to inform on neighbors who try to sell or rent to Arabs.

The number of Palestinians in the city, though low, has been steadily rising as Safed Academic College has expanded. There are now some 1,300 Palestinian students enrolled at the school.

The rabbis' statements have provoked a series of riots by local religious Jews, in which several homes have been attacked to chants of "Death to the Arabs." In one recent incident, three Palestinian students were beaten as shots were fired.

So far three Jewish youths, including an off-duty policeman, have been charged with participating in the violence. The policeman is accused of firing his gun.

The anti-Arab campaign escalated last week as posters were plastered across the city threatening to burn down the home of an elderly Jew if he did not stop renting to Arab students.

The owner, 89-year-old Eli Zvieli, said the posters appeared after he received phone threats and visits from several rabbis warning him to change his mind.

Jamil Khalaili, 20, a physiotherapy student at the college who rents an apartment with a friend in a Jewish neighborhood, said the atmosphere in Safed was rapidly deteriorating.

"We're being treated like criminals, like we're trying to steal their homes," he said. "It's got the point where many of my friends are wondering whether to leave. I want to study here but not if it costs me my life."

Leading the opposition to the presence of Arab students in the city is Safed's chief rabbi, Shmuel Eliyahu, who is employed by the municipality as head of its religious council.

"When a non-Jew moves in, residents begin to worry about their children, about their daughters. Many Arab students have been known to date Jewish girls," he told Israel National News, the main news agency of the settlement movement.

The 18 rabbis issued their joint statement after learning of the city's plan to build a medical school, which is expected to draw Palestinian students from across the Galilee.

They urged Jewish residents to shun a "neighbor or acquaintance" who rents to Arabs. "Refrain from doing business with him, deny him the right to read from the Torah and similarly ostracize him until he renounces this harmful deed," it read.

They have been given backing by a former chief rabbi, Ovadia Yosef, who used a recent sermon to tell his followers that "selling to [non-Jews], even for a lot of money, is not allowed. We won't let them take control of us here."

Similar anti-Arab sentiments have been heard in two other Jewish cities in the Galilee, Karmiel and Upper Nazareth. Both were established decades ago as part of a government "Judaization" program to settle more Jews in the country's most heavily Palestinian-populated region.

In Karmiel, thirty kilometers west of Safed, ads in local newspapers have been promoting a special email address for residents to inform on neighbors planning to sell homes to Arabs. According to Ynet, a popular news website, the email account is overseen by officials for Oren Milstein, the city's deputy mayor until he was fired last week.

Adi Eldar, the mayor, said Milstein had "damaged the city's image" after he gave a newspaper interview in which he boasted that he had prevented the sale of thirty homes to Arab families.

Milstein's replacement as deputy mayor, Rina Greenberg, is a member of the far-right Yisrael Beiteinu party of Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's foreign minister, who advocates ridding the country of many of its Palestinian citizens.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Upper Nazareth, Shimon Gapso, who is also allied with Yisrael Beiteinu, has announced plans to build a new neighborhood for 3,000 religious Jews to halt what he called the city's "demographic deterioration."

Hundreds of Palestinian families from neighboring Nazareth have relocated to the Jewish city to escape overcrowding. Today, one in eight of Upper Nazareth's 42,000-strong population is Palestinian.

In August, Gapso said he felt "as happy as if I had a new baby" at the news that 15 extremist families from the former Gaza settlement of Gush Katif were establishing a Jewish seminary in his city.

Hatia Chomsky-Porat, who leads Galilee activists for Sikkuy, a group advocating better relations between Jews and Palestinians, said: "The political atmosphere is growing darker all the time. Racism among Jews is entirely mainstream now."

In Safed, the Palestinian student body, heavily outnumbered by nearly 40,000 Jewish residents, has tried to keep a low profile. However, one small act of defiance appears to have further contributed to Jewish residents' fears of a "takeover."

Inhabitants awoke recently to find a Palestinian flag draped on the top of a renovated mosque -- one of the many old stone buildings in Safed that attest to the city's habitation long before Israel's establishment.

In 1948, when Jewish forces captured the town, Safed was a mixed city of 10,000 Palestinians and 2,000 Jews. All the Palestinian inhabitants were expelled, including a 13-year-old Mahmoud Abbas, now the president of the Palestinian Authority who continues to hold office under controversial emergency decrees extending his expired term.

Khaliali said the city's history appeared still to haunt many of its Jewish residents, who expressed fears that Arab students were there to reclaim refugee property as the vanguard of a movement for the Palestinian right of return.

It is not the first time Eliyahu, the son of a former chief rabbi of Israel, has been accused of inciting against the city's Arab population.

In 2002, during a wave of suicide attacks at the start of the second Palestinian intifada, he called on Safed college to expel all Palestinian students.

Two years later he launched a campaign against intermarriage, accusing Palestinian men of waging "another form of war" against Jewish women by "seducing" them.

He narrowly avoided prosecution for incitement in 2006 after he agreed to retract his earlier statements.

The Religious Action Center, a group of Reform movement Jews, and several Palestinian MPs have demanded that Yehuda Weinstein, the attorney-general, investigate Eliyahu and the other rabbis for incitement to violence.
